Sometimes, the right care simply needs to be more accessible.
That's why The Body Mechanic dedicates a portion of its schedule each month to Community Care appointments for income-qualified individuals and families.
Community Care provides another pathway to receiving care, with session fees based on household income and current Federal Poverty Guidelines.
It's not a different type of treatment. It's simply a different pathway to care.

WHY COMMUNITY CARE?
Creating More Pathways to Care
Everyone's circumstances are different, and the way we access care doesn't have to look the same for everyone.
Community Care was created to make individualized care available to more people in the community while allowing The Body Mechanic to maintain a healthy, sustainable practice.
By dedicating a portion of our schedule each month to Community Care appointments, we're able to offer income-based session fees to qualifying individuals and families.
It's one way we can continue cultivating a healthier community — one person, one family, and one release at a time.
HOW COMMUNITY CARE WORKS
A Simple, Fair Pathway to Care
Community Care uses a sliding-scale structure modeled on the current HHS Federal Poverty Guidelines and based on:

Applicants provide basic income documentation so we can determine the appropriate Community Care rate consistently and fairly.
Once approved, your Community Care rate applies to eligible 60-minute appointments. Eligibility is reviewed annually.

ACCESSIBILITY
A Rate Designed Around Accessibility
Community Care session fees are determined using household size and gross household income in relation to the current HHS Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Households above 200% of the current HHS Federal Poverty Guidelines do not qualify for a Community Care sliding-scale rate and may schedule at the $100 Standard Care rate.
Program rates and eligibility guidelines may be reviewed periodically as Federal Poverty Guidelines and standard session rates change.

ELIGIBILITY
Who Can Apply?
Community Care is available to individuals and families who meet the program's household income guidelines. Eligibility is determined using household size and gross household income.
To keep the program consistent and fair, we'll ask for simple documentation of current household income as part of the application. This may include:

Recent pay stubs

Most recent federal tax return

Social Security or other benefit documentation

Unemployment documentation

Other documentation that reasonably reflects current household income
We understand that a document doesn't always tell the full story. If your current circumstances are substantially different from what's reflected in your most recent documentation, you'll have an opportunity to share that with us as part of your application.
Your information is kept confidential
Information submitted through the Community Care application is kept confidential and used to determine program eligibility.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY
Keeping Community Care Sustainable
The Body Mechanic dedicates a portion of its schedule each month specifically to Community Care appointments.
Because availability is limited, participation in the program does not guarantee immediate or unlimited appointments. If all available Community Care appointments are currently filled, you may be invited to join our waiting list.
Keeping the program intentionally limited allows us to continue offering Community Care for the long term while maintaining the same thoughtful experience during every visit.
